As per gst web site , gstr1 is to be filled by 31st dec.
but when we are submitting the gstr1 an error is showing - "Save/Action on counterparty Invoices/Submit are not allowed for current date. please visit gst website for details on GSTR1 timelines "

What does it means ?? if this is not the time then when will be submit for 31st dec cut off date for 3 months data.

please suggest

yes,Mr.chandra to I file GSTR-1 we r getting same reply as mentioned by you.only v few days are left.deprt.should clarify soon

Till date they can't rectify this related queries in anywhere in their "Help desk / Helpline No"..

Bcoz, They are just Executive / Tell Callers...

The CBEC also make fool for taxpayers and Consultants....

Finally I say it common reply...

This is totally a system failure and now covering up their deeds by extending dates.
System is not ready and to make so many changes in software again it takes time. Announcements are made on daily basis.

Ironic Really, GST HQ are always eager to inform "Due Date" for filing returns BUT always fail to inform "Return Filing Start Date" well in adavance.
   
Look at August & September months due dates for GSTR-1 given at 31st December'17. But what are "Start Dates"? Nobody knows. Not even GST Helpdesk.
   
How can people plan other life activities in absence of Exact period for filings retruns !!!
