GSTR-9C - Problems

Make Sure the following:-

1. You should open gstr 9c offline utility in MS office 2010 or above. (2007 also, though I am not sure) (Enable editing and Enable content)

2. Internet Explorer should have been installed. (Edge is not useful)

3. The OS should be windows 10

4. Java utility latest update should be installed.

5. EM signer downloaded form GST site (latest)

 If first two conditions are met, while we click on Generate json button, the internet explorer shall be opened. (if not either IE may not be installed, or Enable content of excel may not be activated)

In internet explorer, There will be initiate signing button and open em signer button. Ideally initiate signing button will be enabled and open emsigner button will be disabled. If both button is enabled, you have to go internet explorer security settings and enable all setting related ActiveX (for security settings, click on the three dots at top right corner of IE, and select internet option)

Once ActiveX is enabled, and if click on Initiate signing, the second button "open emsigner" will be enabled. Before clicking on that, please make sure, emsignerGSTN.exe has been run as administrator. Otherwise, server1 object error will come.

If everything is correct, emigner will launch and you can sign the GSTR 9-C

I followed all the above steps, but when I click on initiate signing, there is nothing appearing on the screen. Please advise.

Have done all this settings but both the buttons (Initiate signing and Open emsigner) are still not working.

Made the changes you have suggested. But the issue not rectified. I am still getting "Please check server connection: Object Event"

followed all the instruction and many others on different sites but after clicking "initiate sigining" nothing happens. i am sure the command is reaching EMsigner app as the app shows a message as 127.0.0.1 connected to the server.

as per the documentation available on gst website there should be a message box pop up after clicking "initiate signing" and olny than "open emsigner" gets enabled. this POP UP box is what is not appearing. any suggestion?

Enable Active X control and Download Unused Active on pomt and save .

Java port must be free check your java seccurity.

Or use SAG application to complete this

yup active x is enable and unsigned download too is enabled... java is ok as the emsigner for return filling on gstn website works flawless via internet explorer...

EVEN IF I TRY ALL YOUR SUGGESTION , BUT STILL I M FACING SAME ERROR. INITIAL SIGNING & OPEN EM SIGNER OPTION IS NOT WORKING. PLEASE GIVE ME MORE SUGGESTION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

Even i have faced the same problem but it can be sorted out by installing Epass with Microsoft CSP File(i.e., when installing epass 2003 u will be asked to select 2 options. out of that u should select installation of microsoft CSP )
