GST vs Sole Proptietorship Registration
Is it necessary to register a proprietorship firm before applying for GST registration or i will directly apply for GST registration without registering a proprietorship firm ?

You may apply directly for GST registration. No need for any prior registration.

Registration of the sole proprietorship concern is not mandatory to proceed for GST Registration. You can successfully register under GST even though you don't have a registration certificate for such proprietorship concern.
