Gst turnover calculation for a share trader-cum-consultant

756 views 2 replies

Since securities are not considered goods as per GST Acts, will the turnover from share trading be considered for calculating taxable turnover for a person involved in multiple businesses with one of them being share trading?

For e.g. Mr A is a management consultant with income from professional services of Rs 15 lakhs and has share trading business with a turnover of more than Rs 10 lakhs (delivery based). What will be the turnover as per GST? If only the consultancy fees income is considered then GST registration will not be required.

Turnover include taxable, non taxable, exports and exempted supply
if Mr. a shows share trading is considered as capital gains and not as business then share trading also calculate as turnover?
