my client doing works contract business in proprietorship firm name and is registered with gst.
now he has one shop in his own personal name and he is earning rent income on the same.
whether such income is liable for gst. such property is not showing in his firm balance sheet

Yes, liable as GST is PAN based ...... and a proprietor can have number of firms/businesses, but GSTIN is indentity of the individual..
