dear experts,
our employee went to Bangalore to stay on hotel... bill is going to pay our company is located at Chennai they raise the bill in igst to us can I take ITC

yes can avail itc if hotel has raise igst bill , plz chk whether ur gstrn no. is being mention on bill

Not availed in case of interstate, only available in intra-state transaction.

In this case they have to levy the sgst and cgst.. Becaue of the place of supply... There is no interstate movement of service happened... So they shouldn't levy igst...

The hotel seems to have made mistake in charging IGST. However, having done so, the recipient of service anyway is eligible to take credit of type of tax mentioned in the invoice provided other parameters in section 16 and 17 are met.

you can not taken itc credit bcz hotel can be charge local tax cgst and sgst that state. u can not take itc to other state.

you can not take ITC credit bcz hotel can be charge local tax csgt and sgst. other state can not be caliam ITC credit hi is not charge igst he can be charge csgt and sgst that's y u can not be taken ITC credit on hotal bill.
