Sold my gold to gold shopkeeper who how GST applicable , It's case of reverse charge mechanism?

no need to pay GST ....GST is not applicable to a person who is selling her /his gold to a gold merchant not as a part of his business expansion.
If the customer give the old gold as a new ornaments advance. is gst applicable?
