Quick Summary
This discussion explores GST registration for a new Aavin milk agency selling milk, ghee, and ice cream. The main question is eligibility for the composition scheme, especially since all sales are local. While ice cream is generally not allowed under the scheme, the consensus is that the agency can opt for it, provided they understand the restrictions on certain items. Mandatory registration might be required regardless of turnover to secure milk supplies.

No icecream not allow in composition scheme
You can opt option to pay u/s section 10 because manufacturing of Ice cream is prohibited and not trading of Ice cream.

branded products are not exempted.

hence you have to take registration keeping in mind threshold limit.

The Agency has been taken through Aavin which tamil nadu state milk corporation.

Irrespective of turnover our client is in a position to take the registration as mandatory to avail the milk supplies.

In view of above can we apply for registration under Composition scheme.

pls reply in details.

yes you can take registration under Composition scheme.

except for restricted items.

Can you pls share restrictions item in this supply.
