my gstin has been cancelled few months before for the reason of non filling of gst returns and i have received a gst cancellation order with no pending dues mentioned now i want to apply for a new gst
1.whether i need to file any return on previous registration and late fee there on or not
2. would any further assessment proceded against me for the non filling of gst return in respect of previous gstin
please assist

as per my knowledge , GSTR_10 (FINAL RETURN) is required to file to close the registration
and yes after successful cancellation , re-registration can be done !
1. Yes... Filing is required for the pending returns and settle any payable liabilities (also late fee for late filing of returns).
2. If You are not closed with GST procedures then No way for applying new registration against the same Pan...
So, better to file and close the issues.
Note : If You are file all the returns with closing the liability. Then You can consider the same GSTIN for business with revocation...
