How is GST related to income tax?

We show 90% Expenses GST returns. These expenses can't write extra on year ending or account finalize time.
So, All assessee file his ITR actual PandL....

cross check of gst returns and income tax return may be now started by both I.T. AND GST

But, I think it's started AY 18-19. Now, this this not available....
