The period of articled training under PCC course is 3½ years. There can be no change for students who have signed Deed of articles for undergoing articled training for 3½ years. However, the Council has taken a favourable decision in respect of PCC students to allow them to appear in the Final examination during the last six months of their articled training and it requires completion of necessary legal formalities and procedures. As soon as all formalities are completed the same will be notified and hosted on ICAI web site as well as published in the CA Students’ Journal and “The Chartered Accountant”.

Just go to e-sahayaata in icai mail and post ur query whether u are eligible or not to write in last 6 months of article training ur final exam and send to BOS . U ll get the above reply which Imran khan got.

The reason given by icai (assuming the email is not fake) that articleship can't be reduced because "deed of articles" has been signed is laughable; because while taking transfer also ; deed is cancelled with one employer and taken with another. Deed is a contract and that can be terminated. ICAI doesn't want let go cheap labour , it seems.
