the main problem now becmes :

do we have negative list thn ?

if no thn

frm wher wil they ask questions ? customs ? or more excise ?? worryin factor..!!

Rest of the service tax is enough to cover up the marks.

They have not specified anything regarding negative list. It is only given that students appearing in November 2012 examinations will not be examined with respect to specific services in the area of service tax laws

In my opinion if they have deleted 32 Taxable Services from 2nd group then they should also delete 32 Accounting Standards from the 1st group... So as to have a balance :)

Ha H a Ha Ashish, Very Nice Then looking at the Corruption & accumulation of Black Money, There is no need of Accountancy & Majority of Taxation also should be removed & rather they should Start incorporation of Adjustment in Taxation & Accountancy using the Expert Knowledge of the emminent CA & Tax Experts

I know Yasmeen, i am just kidding :-) I know its impossible to happen. After all these accounting standards are the essence of this course.

Hahaha...

I think they should remove ISCA instead of all these.

That would be a better option..:P

EXAMS BEING ADMIST OF DIWALI SO ICAI HAS GVN A BIG DIWALI GIFT TO STUDENTS SO THEY CAN ENJOY DIWALI

I FEEL NOW ITS BETTER THAT STUDENTS START STUDYING FOR NOV EXAM FROM OCT 2012 AS ICAI MAY IN THEIR COUNCIL MEETING THINK OF REMOVING SOME MORE TOPICS OR EVEN SOME SUBJECTS. HA HA HA HA HA ....................

JAI HO ICAI KI & JAY HO JAY DEEP SHAH SIR KI

Uditji wait till Oct 2012 & you may get your wish fulfilled, Jaideep Shah sir ka Ladka / Ladki jo bhi CA mei hai woh unko puchega Daddy daddy Srvc tax to nikal diya  ISCA uska sab ka bhala kar diya per ISCA mei kya hoga

Hahahaha..

Hope your words become true one day Yasmeenji

I came to know through some forum that there is a class in Mumbai which is conducting Revision Lectures on Full service tax & VAT theory on saturdays & sundays in the coming two weeks at very subsidised rates i.e Rs.750 (inclusive of DVDs & Notes which will cover full concepts through video lectures). They are also providing only their DVDs at a nominal cost of Rs.500.

This info may be helpful for students as there are some changes in IPCC/PCC service tax and there will be no taxable services, so core theory concepts will be asked more in the coming exam.

I have also collected their contact numbers: 8976009343 / 8983666651

Thank you for the info CA Rakesh. Even I have heard of the classes. They have flexible timings & they are going to cover it in 3 days - Friday evening and sat & sun full day. As per the info the new revised syllabus for VAT & Service tax for Nov, 12 will be covered..

hi have'nt studied the 32 services as if now....Is it safe to leave them  completly???

Now I think there is more ambiguity what will they ask in service tax ?

Please someone suggest can we chuck the 32 services totally...Isme koi ICAI trick to nahi hai

No tricks can be played by ICAI as they have made a crystal clear declaration & issued a notification to this effect, going to the extent telling the students to just even overlook & treat that specific Part of the Study Material as No more a part of the Material for studies, & After this if ICAI would ask anything from this Part of the Sylbs then You may see some more cases filed in Many High courts in many places as Now a days students have learnt Law to fight for their Rights & Justice, & Also Practically for the first Time In life ICAI has come out to tell that Skip this Part of Studies ( Enjoy Studs Enjoy ) then why will they Insult their own statement.

Anyway you can be rest assured ICAI will not go back from its words & Cheat the Studs any more. Just Forget & Skip all the 32 Services & Enjoy Showing  your 32 Teeth ( Laugh ) in Public

Well said Yasmeenji
