I registered through Direct entry in Ipcc. I have completed my 16 Month of articleship training. I have not idea about the Gmcs-1 course My friend told me that Gmcs-1 has to be completed with in a 1 st year of article training. I have laps my time now what i do next .will Icai charged a penalty to me or not...... What are provision in the act ?? Plz help........

At present ICAI has not prescribed any adverse effects for non-completion of GMCS-I within stipulated period.

The extended deadline is about to end on 31.12.2014. After that we may expect an announcement from ICAI regarding consequences or another extension, as the case may be. Till then keep checking the ‘Board of Studies Announcements’ section @ icai.org.
