My Aunt was widowed a few years back and she was remarried soon after. Now her ex-mother-in-law wants to gift her amounts in excess of the stipulated tax free limit of Rs. 50,000. Will it be taxable?
The amounts would be transferred through online banking and she would also be furnishing a letter for the same along with her PAN no.
