i am getting the error, saying that net amount payable can't be zero. please ensure that net amount payable is more than Zero to file ITR U

Correct. Updated return cannot be filed if there is no additional tax liability, or refund claim.

If tax is already paid then enter details in Tax paid under section 140B and remove it from Self Assessment Tax Paid

Hi,

This is the first time, i am filing an e return for my father (>80 yrs) with income as interest from term deposits for AY 2023-24. Please help to answer following queries:

1) If a net refunded is calculated, then which ITR return will be applicable ? Currently eportal only provides "Updated" return option.

2) I understand a manual return can be filled. Can this be sent by Post? If so then where?
