yes comparatively easier than nov 13 nd may 14... this will definitely uplit the morale of the students to take sfm..
I was unable to complete the paper:( What was that absorption problem? Rs 330 crores to be treated as purchase consideration? that sentence was so confusing
Paper was easier then previous attempts but still Amalgamation, Valuation and EVA questions were very confusing and bit new things added to them.
Get ready and tighten up your balls for SFM!! ICAI is an ambush attacker and won't miss an opportunity.
Amalgamation is given in mp vijaykumar book , 1240 balance sheet total, 105 was net consideration

1.how did you arrive at nopat from eps in economic value added statement ?
I think absorption problem will start from 50lacks shares *(10+90)

@ Arsh:eps*no.of shares=PAT. And PAT + interst on Debt(net of tax) should give you NOPAT.I did that
Please don't think anything till all the 8 papers are over... ultimately your performance has to be average or above in all the 8 papers ... because if a single paper goes worst then you have no choice.....so please focus on rest papers...and forget fr.
Please take my advise positively... it is based on my experience... ( CA Final May 14 passout)
