Dear all,
We have send the material to Gujrat along with Form 403 but since few details were not filled by us in the form, octroi people levied fine of Rs.2000/- plus 150% of tax i.e almost Rs.3,00,000/- . even after not doing any evasion of taxes and also not defaulters of taxes. is it correct what they have done ?????????????
i will be very thankful to all of u if you please help me out from this problem

Now, whatever was the error in the form 403,a fine and tax have been already paid.The next step immediately to be followed up is preferring an appeal before a proper authority.Go to a CA or an advocate soon and initiate the appeal proceedings. Without knowing the details no further advise can be given.....MJK
