Form 16 employer's give after filing his TDS return in April.

Employee can ask form 16 after MAY

Form 16 should be issued by the employer to the employee after filling of TDS Return because the receipt no. of quarterly TDS return is required to be mentioned in form 16.

The last date for issue of form 16 is 31st May.

After 31st of May

Form 16 (salary) is issued by 31 may of the financial year immediately following the F.Y. in which TDS is deducted.

And form 16A ( Non-Salary) is issued qtrly. whithin 15 daysfrom the due date for furnishing the Qtrly. TDS return.
