forgot to pay interest on Gstr 3b august

Interest applicable non payment of payment date. It's not to filing date...
Don't be confused and ask your CA and CCI portal any other experts and confirm...
Also you ask it Our fellow experts Mr Dhirajlal Rambhia Sir and Mr CA SEETHARAMAN Sir and Mr Amol S Joglekar Sir...


In case August GSTR 3B return date is finalize after April then we can pay interest to April....?!
What is logic...??

You have to be very clear that in GST , payment of challan does not square off the liabilities.
All liabilities are only cleared through Returns. So if you have not cleared interest liability through return it will be carried forward to next return.
Therefore you have to pay interest till date you square off your liabilities of interest in GSTR3 because you have made mistake in GSTR3B hence assured In GST you will be penalizes. Rest all other experts can comment.

Late payment applicable interest... August transactions liability on or before 20th September. If not paid on 20th then interest starts from next day (21st). We ll calculate at the time of payment made...
If the payment ll be made today then we calculate 10 day interest on the liability amount...

This is what I mean that if you pay a challan today that will not clear liability. it can be done through return only and that chance has been lost by Mr. Tripathi in Aug GSTR3B.
