Ims action relationship query

Our client's IMS shows entries for the import of goods over the past year, and we have already claimed the Input Tax Credit (ITC) for all of them in GSTR-3B. The query is whether taking action on these import entries within IMS is mandatory or optional?

Replies (1)

Taking action on import entries in IMS is strictly optional, as any un-actioned record is automatically treated as "Deemed Accepted" by the portal. Since the ITC on these imports was already validly claimed in GSTR-3B based on official Bill of Entry and ICEGATE data, leaving these entries untouched in IMS will have zero adverse impact on past or future credit claims.
