I applied for PAN card on 19-08-2010 and received the same on 15-09-2010. Can i file income tax return for assessment year 2009-2010??
Also i opened a bank account in my name on 19-09-2010.

ofcourse you can file the return for AY 09-10 but the time limit was upto 31-03-2010, however there is no bar to file the return still upto 31-03-2011, except the penalty provision u/s 271 ( max 5000/-)
for AY 10-11( Financial year ended on 31-03-2010) u can file return upto 31-03-2011 without any hassle.
