According to Section 233B of Company Act 1956 CWA / CMA are basically working as a cost auditors in company's which are engage in manufacturing, processing, mining etc  and also working in the feild of indirect and direct taxation and excise audit and there main work is to advise the company's about proper utilisation of cost relatated issues like product cost and budegtory control and varinace analyis etc are there some service. and for doing practise as cost auditor you need a COP after passing CWA final exams. just like CA.

Agree with ravi kumar.CMA's can find a place at consultancy levels also ,mainly INDUSTRIAL environment....enlightened
