Extension of due date for online filing of tax audit report

CBDT has vide its order dated 26.09.2013 has extended the due date of e-filing of Tax Audit Report to 31.10.2013.

1) Now Electronically it can be submitted upto 31.10.2013 but should be submitted manually within the prescribed due date.

2) If submitted electronically within the prescribed due date manual submission not required.

In my opinion this is useless relaxation . .

it may not be useful for Assesses,,very few face difficulty to upload tax audit report,,

CBDT Should have extended the total due date itself ,,with out providing any coondition like providing manual report to Jurisdictional AO

Yes you are correct. But since the extension was sought for difficulty in filing online TAR, CBDT allowed online filing of TAR till 31.10.2013 and allowing to file the IT Return return by submitting the manual TAR. But then again you need to file online TAR within 31.10.2013 even though you submitted Manual TAR. So in a way it is useful only when you are simply unable to file online TAR due to some technical difficulty. Overall this relaxation is of not much use.

Will there not be an issue in uploading ITR until TAR is uploaded by the CA and accepted by the client? As ITR cant be uploaded unless TAR is uploaded and accepted by client

1)icai in its faq on tax audit report said booth are independent actions

however it is said that it is recommended to uplaod tax audit report first there after income tax return

2)it is recommended to file tax audit report first and then income tax return.,,because assesse need to provide date of furnishing tax audit report which is date f acceptance of tax audit report by client

so as far as possible try to upload taxaudit report,,if it is not possible and details yet to receive just file return,,and ther after file tax audit report,,,most important is filing income tax return with in due date

Query relating to signature f audit report. Pls explain the signature issue whether physically signed is mandatory n thn scaning of audit report n upload the report or we use directly pdf sign option in the report n upload the same

If Cost Audit is applicable ideally you should submit a copy of CAR along with TAR.

No issues if you are digitally signing the PDF. But the reports should be signed.

Thanks Sir for replying me, sir another query is what will be the last submission date of TAR along with CAR either physically or electronically?

Last date is 30th September 2013.

If you submit electronically within 30.09.2013 you need not submit the hard copy if you are unable to upload electronically then you have the option to submit the hard copy to your jurisdiction and file your Income Tax return within 30.09.2013 and then you can upload CAR & TAR electronically within 31.10.2013. So best is to try to upload the TAR electronically on or before 30.09.2013.
