Please note that we are in trading in food grains in export and domestic now we decided to export sugar to dubai. please let us know whether we have to take new registration in excise department and what is procedure.

In my view you should taken IEC from DGFT after that you got Import of Export and your products is excable then you need for Excise Registration.
Further any quieries plz Email to us.
since you are only an exporter registration under excise is not mandatory but for exorting the goods you would like to avail certain benefits like obtaining the goods without payment duty etc.you should take registration.
