Excel Tips: Recover A Deleted Worksheet Sheet Tab in Excel When accidentally delete a sheet there is no Undo option to bring it back in Excel. So we have to close this workbook without saving the changes and then reopen it in its original state. But what if there are substantial changes to Other Sheets in the workbook that we don’t want to lose? Here is a workaround.... (Assume no changes made in delated Sheet\no complex formula link) Save this workbook with a different filename (File, Save As…) Re-open original workbook. Copy the sheet that you need to recover from the original workbook to the new renamed workbook. Close the original workbook. Save the (renamed) workbook using the original name. You will be prompted to overwrite the original file. Click Yes. Once you have satisfied that your recovered workbook is now functioning properly, you can delete the redundant (renamed) workbook. Those people recreate all of their work in each sheets as deleted sheet tab cannot be recovered, this trick may be helpful in below situations. 1. After deleting sheets, workbook was not saved. 2. Sheet that was deleted, have changes then you may have to recreate unsaved work for that sheet. Exshail.

worked like a charm, I am working on a file with 50+ MB, and deleting a sheet became a nightmare for me.
