Dear Khaleel hello, if u have prepared some projects or ur magic tools on excel please send me that at my mail id navee_guru @ yahoo.co.in or tell me about how can we make a macro on excel which should be executed if a conditiond is satisfied.(i mean to say how can we attach a condition with a macro) it shoud be automatically run if a particular condition (already defined) is fulfilled. hi Khaleel,

when we use vlookup formula, it gives result from leftmost coloum of a range only. is there any way out to get result from other coloums of a range?

I would like to know your understanding level about VBA, before i throw a bunch of programming concepts.

However, i would like to say that , Conditional formatting, is not possible by following "Record the Macro" approach, it requires programming in VBA.

If you can give me a sample case, i can send you a program for that.

This is a inherent problem with VLOOKUP, it always references the left most coloumn, so far i have not come accross a way to workaround this.

The alternative for this is to use the index function,

syntax: INDEX(array,row_num,column_num)

I believe this will solve your issue.

I want to how to do subtotal in a large sheet .I tried subtotals present in data section but it doesn't resolve the purpose. Is there any method in excel that we give some criteria eg location & excels subtotals accordingly the whole row

my problem is not solved by index function. suppose i have 2 colomn, first of  date and second of qty. now pls give me a formula which can give me date of max qty.  (by keeping date in first colomn and qty in second only)

Can we convert Rupees in words automatically in excel? Say in G22 we have make the page total of an invoice and in B26 the same rupees in words is required.
