Example vs illustration???

We all use example and illustration smiltaniously. . . . . . .both are use for support and evidence But i think there is some difference. . . . . . . What is these differences ???

Illustration includes example but not vice versa.

Illustration is explaining the example.

Illustration shows how the example behaves and useful at times I guess.

Illustration can be defined as to clarify the meaning of some word or a thing..i mean it is an explanation given to a particular word or a sentence in a practical way..

Example can be described as a synonym of illustration..

if u asked any question in an interview ..and if u said something new regarding that question asked then the interviewer may ask u to illustrate it.. means to describe it in detail..

if he asks for example..u will provide an evidence to understand it..

It means in short- illustration refer to explaination and example refer to evidence. . . . Is i m right?

U r right but..example not only as an evidence it may help in understanding in simpler way.
