I want to know that how can paid DVat Tax on online or offile. One have my client have a/c axis bank ltd. but did not received Online passward & Id bank said that you have generatate offine from the side of Dvat side. I would have paid the cheque. It is possible that paid have valid through offiline or not please confirm on urgent baisis.

Now in most of the states payment of monthly return vat is done on-line only.The finacial limits for online payments keep changing fromstate to state and each year.The department gives username and password for each dealer. You have to file a letter and get it.Any tax levied by auditors,assessing officers or intelligence squad are to be paid by cheques. Dishonoured cheques are to be replaced by DD with penalty an interest.Small amounts of tax can be paid by cash also.Go to a VAT office and find out the latest position.For on-line payments some banks only are authorised. They also give a user ID and password.These are to be used for ordering payment from banks.......mjk

If you have DVAT Login ID (Which is your TIN) and password, then it is okay to generate an offline challan from site of DVAT and deposit by cheque to bank within time limit of 21 days
