Vide Circular No.8 dated 08.09.2011, the dealers were required to file the

returns (DVAT-16and Form-I) along with Annexures 2A & 2B through the new

software application w.e.f 20.09.2011. Vide Circular No.ll dated 20.09.2011

the last date of on-line filing of the return for the tax period August, 2011 along

with Annexure 2A & 28 through the new software application was extended to

05.10.2011, the hard copy of which was required to be filed by 07.10.2011.

The Sales Tax Bar Association has represented to Commissioner, VATfor

further extension. Considering the request of the Sales Tax Bar Association,

the Commissioner, VAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Rule

49A of the DVATRules, 2005, has extended the last date of on-line filing of the

return for the tax period of August, 2011 along with Annexures 2A & 2B

thro ugh the new software application to 14.10.2011 and the hard copy of the

return may be filed by 17.10.2011.

However, the tax due for the above mentioned tax period shall be

deposited as per the provisions of Section 3(4) of the DVATAct, 2004. Penalty

on late deposit of tax due shall be imposed as applicable.
