Shivi kalra,u din't answer 2 my point..

Well, dont add up the totals.... just write the figues on the balance sheet and leave it as it is......... Better not to leave a bad impression on the examiner...... N u can still pass coz if only one adjustment is wrong, u lose only 3 - 4 marks out of 16................... No worries............... All the best.........

Always suggested not to make any wrong adjustments to tally the balance sheet.

if the balance sheet  do not tally just leave the total column, it is better to not write any thing which you think is wrong. Do not try to score 16 out of 16, and which wastes time. concentrate on other problem, first complete entire paper and then go for Perfection.

dear...raghu ram...ur doubt is good....!! i do agree with the point of Mr. manmohan...bt in addition to that...u shd always remember ..LUCK factor is always there ...! !

It create bad imression on the evaluator if he/she points out ur trick,,,,and if ur luck is good ..there may be a chance that ur trick doesn't come to his/ her notice...!!

thnx a lot for ur replies..

it is better to not write any thing which you think is wrong.

manmohan is rite

do not make extra adjustments, but do write the higher total on both sides.... and if in some cases totals appears to be beasily calculated like in 1000's etc, then write that amount which is easily calculated... it is experienced...!! best of luck.

in exams, if balance sheet do not tally, simply put all the relevant account balances in it but do not write the totals of it.....if you will tally the balance sheeet with wrong totals, it may put bad impression on the examiner.....moreover examiners check seperate balances before actually seeing the totals,.....so their is no point in forcefully talling balance sheet but puttong wrong totals.....
