I am appearing for C.A.Final in November 2009 and I want to Know whether for Direct Taxes whether the book written by Mr T.N.Manoharan is Sufficient or I should have one more reference book of Padhukas as I dont Have Time to read book written by Singhania and Girish Ahuja

And for Indirect Taxes I am referring the Book of Yogendra Bangar,Vandana Bangar and Vineet Sodhani is this sufficient by all means to score good marks

Please guide me as I intend to write only Group II in the Coming attempt

Hi Sivaram,

Since you will be appearing for Gr II only you can go for Singhania as 3 1/2 month are more then enough. If you still have difficulty in this then go for T.N.Manoharan for DT and would suggest to give extra stress on Ten years past paper atleast and keep a special eye on the amendment by Finance act 08 which have not been asked in the June 09 exam.

As for IDT go for Bangar its more then enough you should mugg up the excise and common topics the other will follow.
