Hi Eklavya,

Congratulations for clearing IPCC. The problem your facing right now is faced by many students when starting articleship. Articleship is like a full time job (only without the salary :P) and requires a lot of time and dedication from one's side.

My personal suggestion to you would be to join the firm if its a good firm with many varieties of work. You can learn a lot of work in that case. Generally final tutions are in the morning from 6:30 am. So you wouldnt have much trouble with the tutions, because obviously you wont have office at that time.

Yes you may have a lot of hectic time managing both your tutions and articleship and homework and CS. If you feel its too much you can always take a transfer in the 1st year of articleship (if and only if your principal agrees) and go to a smaller firm with a relaxed working atmosphere. But if u feel your principal wont give u a transfer (generally big firms dont) then you should think carefully before joining.

You have to balance both articleship and your Final studies. Both are EQUALLY IMPORTANT. These days companies give preference to first attempt pass outs so think about that as well.

All the best with your future. :) I hope this helps.

Thanks alot for the pronpt reply..!!! :) Yea its true that tuitions will be early morning but then we need time to study on our own as well, apart from that audits of companies outside the city will be often as well.. so confused...
Yes firms do send articles outstation for a prolonged period (like a month). Generally boys are sent more than girls. You will miss tution in this time a lot. You will have to attend video classes later on or study that portion on your own by taking the notes from your friends. Think about all the pros and cons carefully before you join any firm. If u feel you can cope with outstation audits then go for it. It all depends on you. :) best of luck.
