Detachment vs. Carelessness

                   Detachment  vs.  Carelessness

Carelessness comes when we are ungrateful to what we are doing and when we dislike our work.

Let us try to understand this. When CAs qualify their course and start practicing. Some of them may find their work uncreative and hence become unhappy. If we feel this way, we will be disinterested in the work and the work will become heavy. We will then want to avoid it and carelessness will follow. It is human psychology that all work in this world is neutral and it is who make it interesting. It is our attitude towards the work that interacts with the work to give us joy. It is not that singing or playing an instrument brings happiness. It is us who bring happiness in singing or playing an instrument. It is because a singer or an instrumentalist is happy, the song or the concert becomes joyous. Any activity per se is neutral. It is the performer who bring colors to it.

So, it is our attitude that decides whether we will be interested in the work. The nature of profession is not the issue it is our attitude towards the profession that will decide whether we will enjoy it or not. So, we rule out the possibility of becoming careless when we understand detachment because that is always the basic confusion. If we really want to enjoy the work we have to be detached and still caring because a work where we are not interested cab bring us money but not happiness.

Let us take it further. If we develop this attitude of becoming disinterested, whatever we take up, sooner or later, we will find it boring not because of the work but because of the absence of our interest in that. To be interested and careless at the same time is not possible and it is our interest that makes anything interesting.

When king Akbar expressed how salim’s fiancée Anarkali one requires the eyes of Salim. What the meant is that it is us who bring beauty to what or who we love.

The perfect one.

Many CA students join the course with  great zeal and soon they find it  too difficult. At caclubindia, One may find so many sharing from the students that that till 12th or Graduation they were in ranks's list. But now feeling unrest.

The trouble is that they are unable to  find what is interesting in the CA curriculum ?

It is a very important issue.

Not only in CA; I have seen so many students who left singing. Either their Guru were not ready to continue or after sometime their parents were not interested. Many times they had to face odd comments from their friends also. In these circumstances; they find themselves aloof from all and ultimately left singing.

One can see SA-RE-GA-MA at TV. The mentors will tell what difficulties they faced in their learning days. But they overcome all the difficulties because they loved singing and had passion to make career in singing only.

Great Post Dear Ravi.

Great Post Dear Ravi.

 Nice Explanation dear SKR sir....

VERY NICE POST

Very nice post sir

Very meaningfull post Ravi sir.

As you rightly said most of the students join the course without proper knowledge about the possible Outcomes. Some times they have misconceptions in mind regarding artilceship. After joining the offices they might feel training is burden. I read in one forum on CCI, one guy interested in Finance, Equity research , Portfolio management but he got internal Audits and  tax related works in office, so he is cursing his fate.

So students should be clear about their likes and Goal before stepping inside. We have to take interest in what we are doing, Always there is something new to learn in Every day and it is endless process.

Thanks to all for reply.
