EFiling ITR2

1) Can we deduct the annual demat account charges and total brokerage incurred while calculating STCG and / or LTCG for shares stocks gains? If yes, which field can we report these total charges?

2) Some websites are charging Rs 100 + GST for purchase of equity and or debt mutual funds. Charges incurred per purchase are Rs 118. Can such charges be deducted? Which field we can report?

Quick Summary
This discussion seeks clarification on reporting Demat account charges, brokerage fees, transaction costs, and stamp duty when filing ITR2 and ITR3. Specifically, users want to know if these expenses can be deducted when calculating short-term and long-term capital gains and in which fields within Schedule CG they should be reported for shares and mutual funds.

yes valid question, even I do have same query

Inputs from experts are required whether

1) Annual Demat account charges

2) Brokerage (Buy and Sell both)

3) Transaction Charges (Buy and Sell both)

4) Stamp Duty charges (Buy and Sell both)

Where can we show the above deductions in ITR2 / ITR3 for Schedule CG?

No one on the forum genuinely knows the answer to the above questions?

Very sad and ashamed on the group here that no one knows the above.
