I would think that along with CA if one can pursue ACS/ICWA & other post qualification courses  it will be really help for switching over as well good start  Be careful before venturing into Gulf ; once gulf ever Gulf ..... Unfortunately Gulf experience works negative here excepting may be in MNC Banks or oil companies, if you have worked in such industry there.

Onr advantage for CA'S is there is no retirement . On the income front it may not be like IIM'S or other top Business schools.  But you may have stability, other sector is Govt sector which is now being avoided by CA'S.

Next 10- 15 years should not be a problem if the number gets added by say 50- 60000 with people also retiring at the same time.

Go ahead...Wish you Victory .

see most of da students think dat once u became Ca ur game is over. but it is not so ,ca as well any profession now a days keeps competative ,so if u wants to stay or lead in da race keep urself updated wid da latest ,i don't mean abt latest changes in tax or something else, it goes beyond dat, so its a looser kind of thought who feel insecure even after being ready to face dis big battle.

Yes Vijay u r right manys beleive one they become CA..game is over n they get anyhting they demand....truth is that today companies need specified skills for specific job.....if u complete CA early it is acvantageous.....what if one can complete only ca inter/pe2 not able to complete finals....so ca is goodbut complte it early....even after becoming CA u can reach heights only if take CA degree at bay....n try t learn everything....coz there r some b.com passed too who did not do CA but very intelligent say of SRCC/ST Xaveris...............

@ MR. VK Vijayaraghvan.. Sir..i am not agree with your comment "Once Gulf.. Ever Gulf "

Most of the students who are pursuing CA and those who has already qualified for the profession.. wants to earn money.. lot of money..

Sir.. in India how much a fresher CA can get 6 L to 8 L Approx.. Sir here in Gulf, 30 L to 50 L p.a. can get easily.. 100% Tax Free economy.. all savings.. no income tax formalities. you can keep as much amount as you can in your bank accounts without any fear of raid or any enquiry etc..

Sir As far as negative experience concerned.. Once a person qualified for CA.. now its been prooved that he has got potential.. Now it doesnot matter whether he works in GULF or anywhere in the world.. He can update himself anytime as per the requirement of the law of the economy in which he works..

Sir People are staying in Gulf with families with a far better standard of living.. and up and down from Gulf to india is as easier as Bombay to Delhi.. and cheaper as well..

I thing it clarifies your misconception about GULF..

Thanks

@ kashif ...what u sat is right but what VK Vijayaraghvan said also right coz if u go to gulg n wants to come to india after 2-3 years no company will hire him coz he will demand very high salary but u want to settle in gulf what u said is right.............thats why many students rejected 70 lakhs offer of olam internatinal.....though life style in gulf can be well maintained but its very diificult to live there coz too much restriction unlike US/UK...........so depends on individual choice.....
