Delay in Form 67 - way out for FY 20-21

ITR 362 views 1 replies

This is regarding an ITR which i filed last year in September 2021. I was an Indian resident for 20-21, and received salary from UK for some months with tax deducted at source for which i filed for foreign tax credit in section 90 of ITR as per DTAA between UK and India. My CA didn't have knowledge to file form 67 , so i got a demand due for the same amount in July as per section 143 intimation order. I filed form 67 and filed rectification for which i again got same demand due . What are the next steps i can take ? What is the feasibility of CIT appeal clearance.

Also to stop accruing the interest , i am thinking to pay the demand and file for CIT for refund . Is it possible ?
