Request for intimation and submit a grievance to get defective communication
Defective return has to be dealt separately.
You must get the defective communication to dealt seperately without the reason for defective communication, you can't do anything..

Try in all possible modes to get the 139(9) detailed communication
Firstly please check in the spam folder on your mail.If still not there, you can go to e-filing portal, under grievances , request for intimation under section 143(1)(a). You may also send a mail to e-filingwebmanager @ incometax.gov.in regarding this issue
For defective returns there won't be 143(1) but there will be 139(9)
Thank u all for your reply

Create a grievance on the Income tax Portal and also connect with CPC Bangalore.

Further, in the meantime prepare for filing the Income-tax Return again because 31st March 2022 is the last date for filing of Income Tax Return for FY 2020-21.

If you have identified the defect then file the return in response to 139(9)
