.Recently, CBDT has exempted deduction of TDS from service tax component if it's charged separately.

CBDT, vide its circular no.01/2014, has clarified that in case the service tax has been shown separately on invoice, no TDS shall be charged on service tax component.
Earlier, this relief was granted to TDS u/s 194-I only. Now, the same has been extended to all the other sections under chapter XVII-B.
The circular has been enclosed herewith for reference.
