If assesee pur tax saving paper or bond on the name of his major son. Is this eligible for getting deduction of 80c

to claim deduction the assesee has to be 1st holder, he may put the name of son as joint holder.
This is from pce exam. . . .i also not allowed deduction. . . . Thanks a lot. . . . . . . . . . .
