Cs training period

What exactly is the training period for cs as per new scheme? 24 months or 36 months & from when this new scheme is applicable? As I am thinking to get registered for cs executive in feb 2014 on the basis of cpt & give executive exam in dec 2014, if I clear my ipcc nov 2013 exam. Can I give exam in dec 2014 & what is the training period applicable for me?
