I want to pursue a career in Direct Taxes in the future. I want to know will doing CS add any value to the work that I wish to pursue i.e Taxes. Or is CS benefitial only if one is in Audit Department?

cs is not useful course for you if you want to take up taxation as your career instead you can go for ICWA where there are 3 taxation papers at inter and final level
What nonsense... ICAI has a much tougher Tax paper than ICWAI any day... What are you talking...

It is not the Correct way to Choose CS for getting Thourough Knowledge in Taxation.
