Respected professionals,

Can a Company Secretary  or a Chartered Accountant start his own business not related to Company law or Audit related field, say any other business like software, trading etc? Would that be deemed to be in practice requiring him to obtain a certificate of practice?

Please clarify.

Regards

Chandana

CERTAINLY NOT

Certificate of Practice is for Practicing the company secretary profession n not for other business.

Friends, If you are doing a business, you no need to obtain certificate of Practice. Suppose, if you are into profession of any kind otherthan the 'services' prescribed under Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 then you no need to obtain certificat of practice.
