Hey Johan,
I think I had the same problem in June 2010. If I remember correctly, I wasn't required to inform the Institute. They automatically have their databases updated once you're allocated a Registration Number.
So, I don't think it's your worry anymore. Leave it to the institute, they'll take all the necessary steps.
Nonetheless, just to be sure, call the Insitute and make sure you have them notified at once. Do as your told by the Institute.
