Counting of the no. of attempts

Obviously, It  will be treated as 2nd attempt as per CA guidlines. these guidlines provide  that u r appearing for  IPCC exam not any group of   IPCC which is choosen by u.

It will considered as two attempts evenif u clear both at first instance but separately

I have a similar question,I will give group-1 in Nov 11,n if I pass give group-2 in Nov, next year,,cant give May next year,will it count as 3 attempts or 2?

is there any maximum limit to appear in IPCC exams ?????

so if someone registers for one group at a time and clears it at the first try,then it is a single attempt??

no it will be 2nd attempt

so then one HAS to sit for both groups together so that he/she doesn't lose an attempt? but then the option of seperately registering and giving exams does not make any sense! why would anyone want to lose an attempt?

and one more thing, does the number of attempts matter while applying for jobs?

Sorry, but where can I read these guidelines?

@ Tamanna: If you are 100% sure that you can clear both groups at one go, you have covered everything, go for it. 

I don't want to raise negative thoughts in your mind, but consider the situation if something goes wrong. 

Two situations:

1. Pass one group at a time.

2. Fail in something in an attempt to pass both groups at once.

If you act like a sack of potatoes in an interview, even if you get rank 1, I don't think you'll land up with a job.

Develop soft skills along with marks, which will help you to make a mark in interviews.

And, you don't win a hurdle race by focusing on the last hurdle. 

Don't think of loosing the game even before playing it. Know your capabilities.

Of course ones with less attempts are given preference, but it is not like people with more attempts starve out becuase of unemployment. 

People choose one group at a time to play more safe.

See my problem here is I do want to go for one group at a time and not take any risks by going for both together.But I guess that will be counted as 2 attempts instead of 1.That's what I'm a little apprehensive about. Hence I wanted to know about the interview thing. Thank you for taking your time out to reply. Appreciate it.

Of course it will have some advantages or else why would people go for it,right? But I guess one should know his/her limitations and then set the target in order to avoid disappointment later. Anyways, thanks for your reply.Will keep that in mind.
