Constitution of an Industry Specific–Insurance Sector Group, to prepare the Working Draft of the Accounting Standards for Insurance Sector
ANNOUNCEMENT
The President of the Institute has constituted an Industry Specific–Insurance Sector Group, to prepare the Working Draft of the Accounting Standards for Insurance Sector comprising of the following members:-
(1) Shri S.N. Jayasimhan, Convenor
Deputy Director (Investments), Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA),
(2) Shri Ramandeep Shani
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Mumbai
(3) CA. P.S. Prabhakar, Chartered Accountant
Chennai
(4) Shri V. Manikam
Executive Director, Investment Monitoring & Accounting,
Life Insurance Corporation of
(5) CA. V. Srinivasan,
CFO Bharti Axa Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Mumbai
(6) CA. V. Suryanarayanan, Chartered Accountant
Chennai
(7) CA. Rakesh Jain
Head, Corporate Centre & CFO, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd., Mumbai
The said Group would submit the aforesaid Working Draft to the Accounting Standards Board at the earliest.
CA. Tapas Datta, Additional Director, and Dr. T. Paramasivan, Senior Deputy Director, will provide technical and other related support to the said Group.
