Dear Members..

Greeting of the Day and Happy Rakshabandhan to all.

On 18th August 2013 I attended a Half Day Workshop on 'Companies Bill 2013' organised by the Hooghly Chapter of Eastern India Regional Council of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. CS Mamta Binani (Past Chairperson ICSI EIRC) was the guest speaker on the subject. It was really wonderfull and highly informative session on this pertinent topic. I am attaching herewith the presentation of CS Mamta Binani which she gave on this topic. I am sure both students as well as the professional will find it extremely useful. But It seems MCA yet to clarify regarding class of companies where Appointment of auditor more than 5 years,,Women director & others...

Sir Can u please tell how long will it still take in Presidents approval?? or when next it will be placed?

Yes Ganesh...It is yet to be notified. These will be notified in Rules since these require amendment from time to time and amending rules are easier compared to amendment in the Act.

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs expects all the rules regarding the Companies bill likely to be in place by the end of this fiscal, after taking into account the suggestions from experts, public and other stakeholders.

A rules advisory committee comprising members from leading industry chambers, dignitaries, experts and lawyers among others, is currently working on draft rules and the same are expected to be put forth on MCA website for public comments by the end of this month itself, a senior ministry official said.
