Coal India’s IPO to launch in August

Coal India’s initial public offer (IPO) is likely to hit the market in August. Merchant bankers have estimated the entire valuation of the IPO at USD 30-50 billion.

Partha Bhattacharya, Chairman, Coal India says that it will be the largest government IPO till date.

Six investment banks have been short-listed for the IPO. The banks include Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Kotak Mahindra, Enam Securities and DSP Merill Lynch.

 

 

Bhattacharya said that it may offer 5% discount to retail investors while 1% is reserved for its employees. “We will facilitate demat account for employees and may tie-up for loans for employees, he adds..
