Clause 23 of form 3cd

Please refer to Clasue 23 in Form 3CD - Particulars of any payment made to persons specified u/s 40A(2)(b). In this point do we need to mention on payments made on account of loans or loan repayments? Or only payments for expenditure need to be mentioned.

Please advise.

as per sec 40(2) only "expenditure made in respect of which payment is made" phrase is used.. so u don't need to mention the loan amount in clause 23 instead any loan given/taken is reported as per clause 31 which is coved u/s 269SS(loans taken in cash or non account payee cheque >20000) and sec 269T (Loan given in cash otherwise than through account payee cheque>20000)

further some amendments are notified in clause 31 kindly consider them before reporting.
