The PAN of a liaison office shows it's status as AOP. Since an LO is the office of a foreign company in India, it's status should be that of a company.
After almost 10 years of operations of an LO, the officer has come up with the above query.
Is there a way in which only the status of the entity can be changed in the PAN, without surrendering the previous PAN and obtaining a new one?
