You can get approval within 7 days approximatly ,when I have followed the procedure I got approval on next day itself ,but can not ensure what  minimum period it will take,once you will get the approval you can take EGM immidiatly , after EGM file form 23 within 30 days.

 kindly note that you can take EGM anytime even before getting approval from ROC for new name stating subject to approval ROC in EGM resolution but better option is to wait for ROC approval .

Dear Ashish,

You will get name change certificate after the approval of Form 23 and 1B from MCA to your mail id (its mean you mentioned the mail id in the eform) and physically signed name change certificate sent to your company registered office from MCA by way of R.P(Just intimate in your Post office regarding this matter if the R.P return to MCA then they take another procedure).In the meanwhile you check the company master data in the mca portal if mca approved the eform then your company name automatically changed in the MCA database. Important thing don’t use or made if any agreement in the new proposed company name before the MCA approval if do it then you will face the violation as per companies act.

I totally agree with Mr. Muthukumar but if you are asking about Approval of Form 1A then ROC will send you approval letter for name change through register post . This is approval letter and  it is different from name change certificate , you need to attach name change certificate with each copy of MOA once you get the same  through register post and you are required to attch that letter to form 1B ,meanwhile you can check track transaction status through SRN of Form 1A ,and if it is showing approved you can def go for EGM for following further procedure.
